Understanding Evil

Take the analogy of darkness to represent evil.
Imagine a room full of darkness. It hides everything from our eyes.
It reduces our ability to interact with anything else in the room.
It keeps us constricted, makes us feel alone and fearful.

But at the moment a door is open and light enters, the darkness disappears.
So what really was the darkness? It is nothing but absence of light.
Everything in the room was same as before, but the light made the difference, which suddenly made everything clear and vibrant.
The fear, loneliness, lack of vision and all other allies of darkness is gone when the light entered.

Same way the vices are nothing but absence of virtues. The only way to destroy it is to bring in virtues.
We all have heard that doing a little bit evil is fine to destroy the bigger evil.
Wrong!!!

Fighting evil with evil will actually help it, by creating a bigger evil, may be in another form or context.
Should you need a weapon, be it the light of virtues.

May the light of supreme soul enters each of our mind to make things clear and vibrant.
May the weapon of virtues stay with us always to make us a winner on evil.
